Other matters

Concerning the possible relocation of the club to other premises There has some activity but no real progress. Nothing looks likely to happen for some time. I would like to stress again that any decision to move would be a decision by the whole membership. I would like to thank John Chamberlain for all the work he has put in.

I would like to thank Vlad Peksa for maintaining our excellent website, Gunsel Akyol for running the Monday evenings and those who have acted as captains and directors. I would thank Molly Andersen and Tony Parkinson for running another successful social evening. I would like to thank the committee for their support during the year.

Cecile Pattison has been treasurer for about 20 years. Exactly how long is not certain. However what is certain is that the club owes her a great debt of gratitude. Having worked with her I know how hardworking and conscientious she is. The acid test is that the club’s finances are in a very healthy state. No dodgy expense claims here.

Cecile, we really are very grateful. Can we show our appreciation in the usual way.

John Greenhalgh
